I have a quick question. I currently have a a dol-001 motherboard wired up with a WKF chip. It works fine, but I'm not happy with how it came out. I made my own adapter with an FFC to through hole board and a bunch of IDE wires. The rig is wired cleanly but it takes up space under the board, which I don't like.
Then I came accross the adapter that megalomaniac sells. I'm going to be ditching my current setup in favor of that adapter as it is much cleaner. I am also going to be ditching the WKF in favor of a WODE, because I like the autoboot function and the ability to rip sraight from the DVD drive to the memory.
My question is this, since megalomaniacs adapter comes with another adpater to connect to a GC dvd drive, I should be able to use that to rip straight off the GC drive correct? Even though the wode is made for the wii drive? That will also allow me to play games straight off the drive again? or is that still not possible?
If that is true and I can do those things listed, my next question is are all GC dvd drives interchangeable? As mine is long gone, if I bought one off ebay or off this site would it be compatible?
Finally (almost done I PROMISE
) can I use a wii DVD drive? Would that allow me to play gc games and rip to the memory on the wode?
