Wiring of Gamecube Disk Drive

I am in the process of making a gamecube portable. I was trying to wire the disk drive circuit board to the GC motherboard and was planning to do this by wiring the pins of each based on the numbers. However, when I was taking off the plastic connection thing, this happened:

The pins tore off.

So, I was wondering how I should go about wiring this thing to the motherboard now. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Modchip would effectively replace the whole drive. Or you could just check where those pins used to go to with you MultiMeter and wire directly to those spots. This is going to be a pain now that they broke off but putting your MultiMeter pins directly on the spots where they broke you can still check for continuity.

Good luck

If you look on the bottom of the board, right below where the connector was, you'll see a round solder pad for each data line. You can wire to those where necessary.

here is a photo which shows which vias the ripped pads go to...
you can solder your wire to the vias...
if that doesnt work for you, let me know.
i have a few drive boards with the connector removed..

That makes me feel better  On my DD board almost all the pins have fallen off so I guess I can give this a go. Thanks ;D
