Guys, i'm currently working on a portable nes based on Mega man color.
The electronic is 100% done and functional. My only problem is with the painting.

I've already made a portable before: http://imgur.com/a/7mgOz#0, using plastic painting:

For my first project, I've sprayed 2 layer of black in total with 48 hours drying within each. No problem at all.

Now for my mega man project, i did the same thing with blue but wanted to add 1 layer of gloss paint just for extra protection against scratches. Look at the disgusting results: http://imgur.com/a/b22rX#M9FcS

Why is this happening? The gloss painting is also from the same company and is also made for plastic. The 2 ends panels are flawless and these were paint with metal paint...

Can someone explain me why this happen and also how i can remove this disgusting painting job without scrapping my case job?

Your paint is on too thick and you aren't waiting long enough between coats.
Try doing several coats that are a light mist for color, and then letting those cure for a week before putting the clearcoat on.

As far as getting it off, a sanding block is probably going to be your best bet for keeping everything intact. Most paint removers will dissolve plastic too.
... That said, if someone knows a better way to get rid of that stuff, PLEASE tell us.

I heard submerging the case in axel grease removes it without damaging the plastic. I'd test it first though

either recoat sooner or later. If you do it after waiting less time, make sure you carefully follow the specified coat times in the instructions.

I have experienced the same problem. I was spraying my case and when I came back to check on it's dry status I discovered a similar pattern.

I believe it because I sprayed it in cold weather and not a warmer weather, now when I spray a coat on I just bring it inside quickly and it seems to look fine. This is with paint on the clear coat gloss. You might have to sand the gross off and re-paint, or apply more layers of paint.

Paint does take longer to cure when it's cold, and there is often a minimum temperature listed.

I'm always painting in my office at work. The temperature there is always between 20 C and 22 C.
(The painting instructions advice more than 10 C)

After reading carefully all the instructions, I realised that it can take up to 1 week for maximum paint adhesion on certain type of plastic...

Brake fluid is real good for removing paint from plastic without removing the plastic from itself, but it's rather nasty stuff. If you're going to use it, do it outside. Everything should clean up with water when you're done.

Nope. That's brake cleaner. It's good for removing grease, but not paint. What you want is actual brake fluid. The fluid you pour into your brake master cylinder. https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/imag ... PYSHv-pnaQ

Observe that the paint got bad, only around the buttons, where you probably you have done your frankescasing, so be sure to sand it even more than you did, use some primer and follow the instructions on the case!
