What should I do with the bottem half of my decapitated DS?

Well, I found it. The screen is broke, but everything else is in good condition. The system won't start up. Pictures:

Well? Suggestions?

Fell out of my pocket when I was riding my bike...I remember it like it was yesterday...

...STFU...I have no idea what I'm doing. And how is scraping the plastic bad? It's not like I'm going to use it for a frankencase.

Get a new screen and reattach the- oh wait you already broke the top.

I dunno, if you replace the screen you can make a GBA out of it, sorta.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I would have to somehow change the bios though, wouldn't I?

There's a pin bridge you can do that will make it run without the top screen. I think Palmer knows about this.

I think there is a tutorial on acidmods.
being that we are 'winrars', perhaps we should make our own tutorial. We don't need some amatuer site telling US how to mod stuff!

Once that pin is briged you can set it to automatically boot in GBA when theres a GBA cart in it. What were you thinking to case it in?

No, the pin bridge just lets the DS turn on without any top portion. As for that, that can be set in the system settings section.

Speculating, it seems that the resistor bridge just makes the DS think the backlight is there, which is why a cracked, horribly damaged screen will still boot as long as the backlight is connected. Perhaps most of the screen can be eliminated, and the resistor simply soldered on the spot where the ribbon terminates to the backlight assembly? Bibin, any thoughts?
