What am I doing wrong?? (GBC overclock)

I'm attempting to overclock my GBC. I've tried following both Themadhacker's guide as well as Hillbillyscientist's guide but still no result. I've wired everything exactly as shown, but even when the switch is flipped it only runs at 1x speed! I've un/resoldered everything countless times, tried different switches, different crystals, etc. and cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be awesome

I answered on my guide post. Another thing the on board crystal can be difficult to get a good solder joint with good connection.
