The Adventures of QuickSkop3 - My Dremel Tried to Kill me

Re: My Dremel Tried to Kill me

I used to rip out my own teeth when I was six years old. Am I one tough SOB?

Re: My Dremel Tried to Kill me

Going to the emergency room is to much effort. It's easier to just deal with it. If the pain involved is less than the pain involved in listening to the doctors, and filling out their paperwork, I don't bother.

The moral:

Metal in your eye? Tough it out, Sega. Infection? Only losers get infections. Blindness from said infection? More like a badass battle scar.

when using a dremel, I always put on some safety goggles and wear a painters mask. better safe than sorry.

Jlee was right about stupidity though, lol.

OH, MY DREMEL JUST BLEW APART WHILE IT WAS ON
AW SHUCKS
LET'S JUST TRY AGAIN
HURRDDUUURRR

I always wear some cheap drugstore magnifying glasses when I'm soldering. Gives me a closer look at what I'm doing and protects my eyes. Win/win. I suggest you all do the same.

Well, now I need a Dremel, as mine is gay.

I can tighten it, and secure it fine now, and it works well, just it wont release, so im not strong enough to pull it off, but my dad can :)

I still don't know what *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ing peg you are talking about.

Anyway, about the injury thing, I've found it really depends on the person. Some people are bordering on stupid and won't go to a hospital even if they like stab themself or grab a red-hot piece of metal. Whereas some people will go to the hospital for pretty much no real reason. Hurray for socialized medicine!

Anyway, get the Dremel 300. It's the most popular model IIRC. I use the 4000, which is more expensive.

QuickSkop3, you should stop using that thing until you finish middle school.
You're going to hurt yourself you *Can'tSayThisOnTV*wit.

I grabbed my soldering iron on the wrong end and didn't go to the hospital. I can haz cookie? ::3:

Your soldering iron is not red hot. It's only several hundred degrees. Red hot is several thousand. Also, time. If you grab and immediately release, it will do a lot less damage than if you say, catch it falling and put it back on the table (someone's done that, I'm sure).

No man, I gripped onto it pretty tight. I didn't want it to fall out of my hand at the time. Not till I smelt burning flesh did I drop it. Wouldn't something that's several thousand degrees just melt right through your hand?

Jlee, i'm in high school :p

no middle school here, your point is invalid

I'm not a retard :gonk:, straight A's on my report card.

I will just use this one still, turns ou it wasn't on tight enough, so I will just only dremel when I have my dad near me.

Human shields don't quite work for you when you are the one wielding the gun.
