Figured I would get the ball rolling.
What are your favorite modes to play at the moment. Favorite servers, maps?

At the moment I'm very much into saxton hale and hoovy racing.

VSH is pretty fun, used to be better before they added all of those new characters and flax, feels diluted now. Also, the last few times I've played the only map anyone wanted to play was that mega man one.
How many people here bothered to get tuxes?

I play this game a lot. MvM's a ton of fun if you can find competent people, aside from that occasionally I'll dick around on CP servers trickstabbing people. I tried the hidden here recently, that was a ton of fun too.

Hate freak fortress with a Passion.

The two big servers over here keep modified classic hale variants, which is awesome.

I have around 60 hours of scoutplay under my belt, mostly from CTF servers.

To put things in perspective, that's around 50 hours more than any other class I've played. I just like everything about playing Scout.

I've really only played vanilla TF2 which is kind of sad for how much TF2 I've actually played.

60 hours is nothing. 300 hours is nothing. If anything, 1,000 hours is de-facto for "a lot of time" on tf2.

My brother has racked up almost 1500 hours on CS:S, not sure if he has a serious problem or not.

Well, I wasn't really saying that I thought 60 hours was a lot of time, I was just stating how much I enjoy playing Scout as compared to other classes.

Says here I've played 373 hours of TF2... But that can't be right. Maybe 250 or so.

I'm always careful about not idling or leaving games open too long. I've accidentally left it open a couple times overnight, but that's 20 hours at the most...

I'm actually clueless on this one. It doesn't feel like I've played anywhere near 373 hours.

iunno. Let's get back on topic.

I think I tested something for SS or something once?

Also, could've sworn I had about 45 minutes more than that from when I actually tried to learn to play two years ago. :/

CONFESSION: I don't understand hats or having weird items. Maybe that's because I racked up most of my hours in the beta, but I like the core mechanics of TF2. I don't need to be plied with funny hats and I don't understand people who freak out and post pictures of their crafted shiny Fancy Fedora or whatever. I'll accept the extra weapon sets that came in the original {CLASS} updates, because it added a small amount of dynamism. "Does that Heavy have NatashOH GOD I CAN'T MOVE" etc etc. But now that there's like eight weapons for each slot for each class and it's Call of Duty with hats. It's still fun to play, but I don't understand the community any more.

tl;dr get off my lawn

Pssh, noobs.

NO SHAME.

I'm gonna be super brave and say I hate MvM and don't understand the community's love affair with it. It's literally just Killing Floor with hats, and robots instead of zombies. But it's not even as fun. It's pretty boring, honestly. If I want to play Killing Floor, I'm not gonna load up TF2 -- I'm gonna load up Killing Floor and play that.

VSH is also terrible, IMO. It used to be pretty fun, and it was pretty neat seeing the community come up with a full-fledged boss battle game mode based on the coolest character in the game canon with a custom-made model. It was simple but it was fun and it was well-done. Then came all the other characters... completely unnecessary additions that just made things confusing and less enjoyable, which would be bad enough if half weren't based on Gmod LE MEMES VAGINEER OLOLOL SO FUNNY

Now it's drowning in flax. *Can'tSayThisOnTV* that.

As for what I do like, most of the stock game modes are just about always guaranteed to be a good time if you've got some good teammates and you have somewhat of an idea of what you're doing. Even if you don't, just making an effort is valuable to your team and you're guaranteed to learn something. My favorite maps are Doublecross (like 2fort but with a lot of the problems removed), Hydro (despite what a lot of people say, it's a lot of fun even if it does sometimes last a while), Dustbowl (can't beat the classics), and Badwater. Randomizer is my favorite non-stock game mode.

Most played class is Heavy. Choice of weapons? I roll with strange versions of the stock loadout and I can kick some ass. Tiny men fear me and my knitted cap. Second most played is Spy. I alternate between the stock loadout (almost -- strange revolver and knife, though) with the stock watch, and the Saharan Spy set with a Dead Ringer depending on the scenario and my mood, and once I get rolling I start doing magic -- people I backstab turn into Pyros.

I also like playing Medic a lot. It's pretty satisfying topping scoreboards without making any kills, plus since I'm in training to become an EMT I'll be an IRL Medic before too long. Weapons of choice are a strange Syringe Gun, strange Medigun, and my vintage Ubersaw.

Also, Caberknight. Fun as Heck. I love playing that.

He lives in like, the most uninteresting place in the west I think. There's nothing to do, and the only thing to stick your dick in is crazy. That should explain everything. Plus, I would personally prefer a virtual gravel pit was like instead of a real one.

Also, if we're talking strange weapons, I win the swag award.

Freak fortress is awful, all non classic VSH variants are bad. 'Nuff said, really.

I finished a VSH map the other day, actually.

Its basically the only tf2 map with not broken multi-floor elevators, an achievement I can call my own I guess.
