I did Tchay's sound fix and it worked for a little while but now its shorted out. If i leave it connected the cube wont power up but if i desolder it then the cube powers fine. I can't seem to find the short and was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to where it might be. It's not the 5v rail its specifically the sound or maybe the power rail that's attached to it but the 5v rail works fine when not connected to the sound fix.

Can you check continuity to see what the amp's 12v line is shorted with? It sounds like it's shorted with ground, but it may not be, so figuring that out will help determine the cause.
