with the math figured out though and disregarding the complexity, would the battery life be longer?

if you think watch battery's have good capacity, it's only because watches draw nothing.
Usually amperage and life goes with the size, i mean you didn't think you could run a gamecube, whiwh is a corded system, with watch batteries, you'd need a dozen to even start the cube... sorry

sorry, I'm new to most anything hardware aside from a few soldering jobs I did (fixing my flash drive, fixing the lcd on my pc after tearing it apart, small stuff like that)
