So when removing the Power port on the board, I accidentally lifted off a bit of the green strip on the circuit board
Will this cause any issues?

Do you plan on trimming your board at all?
Even if you don't, you only need to hook up 7.4v(12v) and 3.3v back up to the board, and If you take a look at buds trimming guide in the stickies you'll see alternate points where you can reconnect them.

I really did not want to trim the board as I feel that part may be a bit beyond my skill level.

You can still input power (12v and 3.3v) back in at the points labeled on buds trimming guide without trimming the board

Power is given from traces on the back of the board, so doesn't matter at all.
