PS1 Screen vs. PS2 Screen

I was looking for a PS1 screen to start my first portable and found this:

Does this have the same guts as the PS1 screen or in anyway similar?
Because they look similar, but that dosen't make it so.

I think i read somewhere on the forums that they have the same innards, but I'd like to make sure.

So it'd be as good as the PS1 and be a good portable starter screen?

It's perfect. It's highly documented so that's what most starters use.

Well yeah, I know that about the PS1 screen, I was just making sure this was the same thing if I were to get the it.

That way I'd have that documentation

Don't worry they're practically identical, except for a few minor differences.

and those minor differences are added things which can be taken off

If I remember correctly, hailrazer recommended leaving the large extra cap on the board. Other than that, there aren't really qny differences other than cosmetic ones.
