ps one taiwanese screen help please

Hi, so I'm making my first portable, I've already been helped out in these forums some time ago and had quick and useful answers that made me understand better some things. So Im yet here again asking for help :D

I bought a taiwanese made psone screen, I need to figure out which pin is which should I do some old fashioned trial and error once I find the voltage in and gnd pins?
Or thats the stupid way around it ? (bear in mind that I'm a total noob

I took some screens and here they are:

that's the front casing

And thats the screen in question
Also, the conector part (the one that goes in the back of the psx) had more cables than the number of soldered pins on the lcd's pcb

sx) had more cqbles than those connected the LCD pcb

Looking at it, you likely don't need the smaller board, and 4 of your cables broke at the solder point on the screen. Luckily, they seem to be in the exact opposite order from on the smaller board, so just flip things around to figure out where they hook up.

Next, I would compare with some pinouts of the PS1 to figure out what wires carry what signals. It should be pretty easy to visually trace, but if you have a multimeter, use that.
