portable issue, is it the wiring, the n64, the screen pr eve

Hi there, a while ago I got help about a screen I got from a guy. It was intended to be used on a psx, but its not a zenith nor the original psx screen (it says SHARP on the back of the screen but...not much.more.)

The thing is, I wired the video output from the n64 to the video pin on the screen and grounded the gnd pin thats above the Y pin. And then I tested it and this happened

The screen before it was connected to the n64 once went all white but in a strange way... Can anyone give me a pointer on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Double check grounding, make sure the screen and N64 are on a common ground.

Since the lcd is unlabeled I had to use the multimeter to find ground, so, after finding ground, wired gnd pin on the n64 to the ground on the lcd, and the video wire to the lcd I forgot to say that the n64's board is wired normally, using the normal power chord, and te screen is powered by a 9v battery. I think maybe that's the problem, using two different power sources?

Edit: I could make it display the game, but suddenly the screen went white after flickering a bit...

I believe this happened because of the battery... Screen's input is 7.5v, the battery is 9v... Please correct me if Im wrong and thanks again Ben for the help, I dun goofed and wired gnd and video "backwards" (n64 video line to lcd gnd and n64gnd to lcd video)
