The... Shield?
Ironman23.jpg

Okay jokes aside haha, it looks pretty cool, I knew a lot of big names this year would be going for Android as a platform for consoles and since smartphones are already pretty small, this is only a logical step really.

I also like the design, dual-analog style controls are just far too bulky and cumbersome to fit on the 20-year old design for handhelds that is essentially a brick, will be watching this.

Cool, but unless they have a lot of exclusive games I'd rather just use a controller with my smart phone.

Saw it on IGN. It looks retarded IMO. I've never been a fan of the controllerscreen setup.

I'm more interested in the Ouya personally, but I haven't read much on the power specs of the Shield.

like KB, I'm more intrigued by the streaming from PC to TV aspect of it, though I'm sure it'll cost more than that feature alone is worth.

Also, absolutely *Can'tSayThisOnTV* PS3 controller layout infinitely.

I *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ing hate that flax so much.

I like the symmetry of it, but if you get used to a 360-style controller, it's so much better.

It just doesn't make sense, the thumb naturally goes to the left side of the controller, why put the analog stick in an un-natural place?

Did some asshole copyright putting the main joystick is a proper *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ing location?
I'd say Microsoft, but that doesn't explain the Gamecube controller.

Because the PS1 was derived from the SNES, and Sony CBA to make their own controller. Therefore, they added another pair of shoulder buttons which was a Sega to grip, so they added grip handles. Meanwhile, they take Nintendo's new design of an analog stick, make it pot-based (yay) and slap two of them on.
Then they continued to use it for 15+ years.

It's probably because of the raging success of the Playstation franchise, and because it's the best design for DPad games while still having an analog stick.

Sony should not be used as a benchmark for anything, they seriously get absolutely everything wrong and haven't been good for a very long time.

I actually didn't mind the way Nintendo did it on the CCP, but for some reason they decided to stop using that design.

I haven't got a Wii U, so i'm not sure how their new layout holds out, someone else will have to enlighten me about that.
