Nobble's SNES Portable: The Scarlet SNES

I think that it's bad, for me, as I still havnt begun modding something other than that color I was working on, and I lost that. I havnt been able to get any funding, and I still suck at soldering, as I cant hold my hand still enough, and I still dont have my technique down.

Holy flux it is are teh noobs!

Even with the origional backlight, the brightness buttons don't control the intensity of the light, but rather the contrast on the screen. Try it. The actual picture gets dimmer and brighter, but the light remains at one level.

This worklog is back in business! I got my flax back from my parents. I will be working non stop all night to try and finish this.

Just finished half of the relocation of the cart slot to the board. Now 31 more pins to go then I can test the snes. I had a little trouble when molten solder dripped on a chip and bridged the contacts but i think i got it all off. Updates soon!

if you arent sure, test with a multimeter. if you dont have one, cut between the legs with a razor. that will sever any connections, if there are any.

i cut it with a razor so i think it should be ok. I finished my cart slot relocation finally! Now onto soldering the controls in.

On hold till I get a new snes. I fried my other one. This time I wont mess up. Working on my next portable for the time being.

Good. Maybe you should try a different kind of SNES than a SNES Mini. At the rate you're going, SNES Minis will be gone in 2012.

The Mayans predicted you, nobble. Now go out there and PROVE THEM WRONG!!!

Umm ive only used the same amount of snes's as u plover so I wouldn't be talking. :p

get some regular snes's, they can apparently be trimmed to about the size of a snes mini.
