Hi!
I'm thinking of putting a GameCube controller into an N64 case in order to play Virtual Console games with it. I am completely new to modding and thought this would make a good first project. Got some questions though.
- Have I understood correctly if i think all the light green areas on the circuitboard are ground, and all the darker lines are VCC? I might have to cut of the D-pad area, so to get it working again I just reconnect the dark lines and ground with wire?
- Could I just cut of the rumble motor, or would I need to replace it with a resistor/short it?
- I want to have C-buttons on my controller rather than a C-stick. Is this possible without too much work? I won't actually need all directions, since the GameCube controller uses X, Y and Z for C-left, C-right and C-up.
And please be nice, I'm new! =)
