I have a Da Vinci 1.0 3D printer by XYZ Printing. It uses their proprietary XYZ software which is honestly a pain in the neck.

that's what I thought it was by the software in the pictures. I just recently got one

there is a good amount of hacks for the printer including ones to use slic3r to slice instead of xyzware, replace printer firmware, use any filament, use any gcode with xyzware.

personally I use a modified xyzware that accepts any gcode. so I open the stl in slic3r change the settings if needed, then export the gcode. drag and drop to xyzware and press print. works great. all xyzware does is upload it.
