Modular Synthesizer

I've been working on this project for a year now. It's the biggest project I've ever worked on. It's a 4ft long modular synthesizer. Figured I would show it here in case anybody was interested.

This ones a huge improvement over my first one. The pcbs are all hand soldered and way cleaner than my first one. Also the panels are all aluminum and spray painted black, then used a label maker. I designed it after the vintage Moog System 35.

So what does this do? It makes noise. I assembled a collection of circuits that can be patched together to make interesting noises, even music perhaps. Here's a sample I did, a Daft Punk cover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mK_Khrs8284

Here's the circuits I built so far
4x Voltage-Controlled Oscillators
3x Mixers
2x Voltage-Controlled Amplifiers
1x Steiner Filter Clone
1x Minimoog filter clone
3x Attack-Release envelope generators
2x Low-Frequency Oscillators
1x Sample and hold/ White noise
2x Sequential switches
1x 8x3 step sequencer

I have spent so much time working on this, I tried keeping track for a while but I fell behind after 100 hours. Not to mention all the research that went into this. I've spent close to $1,000 in parts alone. Again, I lost track of all the money I've spent on it. This project has been really rewarding though, not only do I have a sick analog synth, but I have learned so much about electronics. I can confidently tackle a 2 page schematic diagram on breadboard like it's nothing now.

Dude -- this is bad ass!! Some super grimy tones you've got there, way better than the virtual studio technology I'm stuck with.

Found these pics from the first one I built a while back. I'm surprised the circuit boards even worked! I used perf board so every connection had a wire soldered to it. I used breadboard on my new one so I didn't need as much wires if I was smart about part placement.
