Maybe Official Modretro intro

Some of you have noticed that on my video of my gcp I had made a 2-3s intro for modretro.com

A few of you guys asked for it, so I put it up on filesomething, here it is :

I thought having a common intro for all our videos would be a good idea, plus it somehow looks legit.
If you like the idea let me know, and most of all post ideas to make it better, cause I literraly drew this one up in like 20 minutes.

I hate to point this out, but can you think of a good website you frequently visit where you ever wanted to see an intro, or that even has an intro?

I could think of maybe screw attack and gametrailers, but I definitly see your point.

However its not of course that people want to see an intro, it serves more as advertisement for the website. And mostly it acts to maintain consistency, as in people see the intro, they're not bothered cause it's short, and they think "oh I saw this on an awesome vid from Ashen/tchay/other awesome modder, this has to be good also"

But i do see your point, however i'll continue using it for my vid, mostly as a tribute to the forums, and if I ever start to make more vids, I guess I'll make my own intro.

Silly idea without some sort of central YouTube account through which all/most MR videos are posted, as is the case with a lot of sites that have intros like that. Can't describe what I'm trying to say very eloquently because I'm typing with a flaxty iPod touchscreen keyboard, but yeah. Great that you want to advertise the site, though.

With time to think about it, I definitly think it's not that useful to the site, yet I rest my case of wanting to pay a small tribute to the forums.

I definitly get your point, and I do think this is what modretro.com should be, not the forums, they are great as they are, but I do think the main board should be some sort of site showcasing finished projects and daily mods, attracting an audience that can be frightened by a forum. Not unlike hackaday or other sites. However this does exist already, and I have no website designing ability enabling me to do this myself. And most importantly, this is not at all for me to decide this kind of thing.

Doesn't hurt to dream about it.. But I guess I'll stop using my intro, however I'll never linking to the forums

Isn't 134 MB a little big for an intro?

for an uncompressed 1080p video 10 seconds is over a GB. Now what you put on youtube will be a lot smaller, but when you are rendering files having the highest quality input files shows even in the compressed smaller files; your quality will degrade if you compress already compressed creation files further.
