Isn't that a frontlight-style panel?

I don't see much actual talk about polarizers at all. An LCD typically needs two polarization layers, one on the front and one on the back. They are not clear, and if you are replacing a polarizer, just go buy one that is totally non-adhesive.

Also, the ones used in LCDs are different from normal polarizers. They are very fine and neat.
