Yeah, MR split off from BH while I was an irresponsible college student. Now I'm an irresponsible college grad.

i stopped visiting the site (benheck) around 2009 iirc. i remember brian had coordinated the mgc benheck suite that year and it was the last time i remember actively visiting the forum. the portables of doom guys still go every year but we coordinate via a facebook chat group, now. lol

well i dropped out of college. i hope grad school is going well for you!

Modretro split from Benheck when I was in Grade 8.

I am graduating from with a B.sc in a year. That was like what, 8 years ago?

The official date that we celebrate is June 1, 2009, tho SS redid the install the next day to make Palmer the first member instead of himself or ßeta or jjhammerstein or something

If I remember correctly, when MR first started, they sent you your password over email. Then they said we got hacked and had to change passwords and stuff. Good times. Then by the next year, BH was basically dead.

I don't think we ever sent plaintext passwords over email simply because that's not only really stupid but also not really possible since phpbb encrypts it.

Hi modretro!
I'm from California, and in my mid 20's.
Recently I've taken to tinkering with electronics to keep my brain from shriveling up and dying, as post university life hasn't been too mentally stimulating.

So far, I've mostly been doing refurbishment or simple screen mods on old handhelds. I've fixed up a bunch of gameboy advances, and added backlit screens to them, gameboy pocket backlights, repaired a PSP, a Sega Game Gear, and am currently working on a Sega Nomad.

Not completed any real in depth mods yet, but that GameCube Lynx portable is really inspiring! Between learning about resin casting parts, rgb output mods, LCD inputs, and electronics in general, there's a lot to learn!

Hope someday I have something cool to show, but for now I'm absorbing info and developing a solid foundation before I try anything too drastic.

Hi everyone!! My name is cam I had an account called CamLusted before when I was a kid on here.

I’m going to build a GameCube portable one day and somebody has asked to commission a n64 portable so I’m most likely going to make that first now.

I’ve spent the last 5 years mostly homeless and now I have a new girlfriend who took me in I’m not in the same position I was and I’m able to build things again

I need to get a toolbox together again but I’ll be hoping to learn from you guys soon again

I asked AI how to make money and it showed me a way to turn £17.51 into £90+ I’m going to manufacture chocolates soap cubes and key rings from materials ai chose and sell them

I wrote that I started a GameCube portable project and failed it and it told
Me to start again

I mentioned my hero’s were our modretros palmer luckey for helping to give me a path to something worthwhile and intelligent that I was genuinely interested in (seriously hard to find something that interests me and seriously did spend a lot of time learning how to mod GameCubes when I was a kid on here)

and Facebook mark zuckerberg for keeping our data safe,

I met my baby’s mum on Facebook and I wouldn’t have a daughter without him so I’ll always have him as my hero

But it suggested I start a company with all I have left and told me how to turn it into a profit which I’m excited to record from day 1

It also suggested I make a bet with palmer and mark that if I can’t sell 1000 in 90 days I make them a GameCube portable each

Guys I’m after an hour of your time to pitch all my business ideas and to mentor me with what I’m currently working on

I’m going to copy how it’s made products and make one of everything (if it still sells nowadays) and my plan is to become a huge manufacturer

Can somebody show this to palmer and ask him if he would be up for mentoring me and hearing my business ideas if I smash 1000 in 90 days from handmade products

If any of you guys want to buy a keyring or soap or chocolate let me know and I’ll do my best to make it happen I know it sounds dumb but I couldn’t pick a product to manufacture out of the list it gave me and I want to show that I used ai to make my first million

If you guys think it’s dumb let me know but I really think it will make good media to watch back as I progress and might inspire kids to be entrepreneurs that’s why I am actually making the soap chocolate and keyrings

Let me know what you think the profits will go towards me buying n64 parts for this commission and also GameCube parts for the project I never finished
