Interest in an OpenPandora-like device?

It cracks easily. Compared to plastic, which generally (depending on what type of plastic) has a better ability to deform and spring back to shape upon impact.
Epoxy isn't very pliable.

I figured I'm going to vacuum for a plastic case, and layer it in one sheet of carbon fiber to get the look without sacrificing durability. Plus it's marginally cheaper- Carbon fiber, due to it's need to be layered, can really burn through your wallet @ $58 dollars a yard.

The PandaBoard may cost a bit more, but it uses an Omap 4460 which is much more capable than the Pi.

Actually, I'm going to use x86 hardware, in the form of a nano ITX board running an AMD APU, e-350. Low power, and can easily run Left 4 Dead 2.

I'm going to do a convertable tablet/laptop design, much like the Dell Inspiron Duo, with a capacitive 8.9" screen.
