there is one, which isn't an emulator, but an accessory for an emulator, called the retrode. it was originally made to play SNES and Genesis carts, but with the use of the adapter can play N64 games two.
at current though it is not possible to save to the cartrage, so you will have to keep all your saves locally on the computer. they are attempting to fix that but it's difficult.

Also, free advice; when you title you topic, don't just say something like "important question," elude to what your question concerns, you'll get more people answering it. if you titled this topic "n64 emulator question" you might have more luck
