Hey Tchay, I was wondering what type of screen are you using for your portable GameCube. and where did you get it? :)
Thanks.

I'm working on 2 Gamecube portables at the moment ;)

For my "Crapcube" (official name) I am using a 3.5" car monitor screen:

- easy to hook up and has decent video quality

For my "Gamecube Perspective" (working title) I am using a standard PS1 screen (also easy to hook up IIRC):

- scroll down a little bit

- the PS1 screen has great video quality btw

hey, does it matter what type of ps1 screen you have? can you put a ntsc signal on the pal screen?
yes it matters. NTSC and PAL do not play nice with each other.

Those ps1 screens are pal. Don't you live in the ntsc area?

Oh is it? My mistake, I was just picking a random link as an example.

Yes it matters and no you cannot not mix a PAL screen with an NTSC gamecube. If you have an American NTSC Gamecube, then you need an NTSC PS1 screen for everything to work. There are ways to get around that but its kinda tedious and you would have to look up some guides either here or on Benheck.com.

A lot of car monitor screens will be NTSC/PAL compatible (as in they can work off either type). I like car monitor screens personally since they are cheap and simple. I am still searching the internet for a 4" screen that has low power, good resolution, and all that jazz. I'll keep you guys posted on what I can find ;)
