How do you cut your gamecube controller board into 2 boards

I understand that you can cut your board like this...

But I see that the board is still in tact at the bottom, but This is what i want to do for my portable...

But how do i make it so that I can put buttons on both sides?

Just cut the board up into the different parts you need, and wire them back to where you cut them. You are just basically relocating the buttons... I remember seeing a guide awhile ago about where to relocate the points. Just do a little searching and you will find it.
