I might have just miss-wired the 12V relocation, but I dunno. Is there alternate R and L audio place with solder pads or something I won't miss?

Re: NukecubeP WORKLOG!!!!!!

The wire you used for the sound fix looks really looooooooooooong. Remember, some traces are sensitive to length. Shorten it up to the length Tchay used.

Re: NukecubeP WORKLOG!!!!!!

Length doesn't matter if it's just 12v and not data. All the sound fix is doing relocating the 12v line

Like unicycler said, it dosen't matter. I wired that before I trimmed my cube, and it worked fine.

Re: NukecubeP WORKLOG!!!!!!

well first make sure its nothing silly like your speakers.

only thing i can say is to triple check and re-read tchays topic to make sure its correct

Re: NukecubeP WORKLOG!!!!!!

If you intend to trim the top of the screen motherboard. You may end up removing the A/C converter.Meaning you need to do an led back-lit
mod to your screen because the fluorescent tube in it currently is designed to run off A/C current.....unless you relocate the converter

Just throwing that out there. :D

Re: NukecubeP WORKLOG!!!!!!

Have you bridged the headphone socket on the PS1 screen?

Re: NukecubeP WORKLOG!!!!!!

Dunno what board you have, Try taking audio from the spots shown here:

Red/White are L/R audio, Black is ground.

Hooking audio up this way bypass's the onboard preamp. So there's no need to relocate the 12v line. If this works for you you should also probably remove and rewire these 2 filtering caps in line on the audio lines going to your amp:

Re: NukecubeP WORKLOG!!!!!!

its actually already there. Its the same as doing this:

I've just shown easier spots to solder to above.

Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Hmm Ashen I'll have to try that. Also to everyone out there, before I trimmed the mobo audio wasn't working. Then I rewired 12V and it worked. And it didn't work after trimmed it soooooo it means I wired it wrong. Also changed the name.

This is gonna be awesome

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Just order my New Haven Adapter Board from digikey.($12)Its coming in a few days. :P

Re: Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

Is that heatsink setup blowing air onto the heatsink or away from it? Does it work?

Gamecube VITA WORKLOG!!!!

It blows on it.It's not the most efficient, but it's waayyy better than the original.
