if your specifically going to make I laptop, I suggest just using a Wii, they are what, like $80 now?

I double this because the cost to make the laptop CD drive and the amount of time spent would be more then the WII, thats if you could even do the CD drive mod.Diminuendo said:

Is this a wii thread? Inception, if I was in your situation I would suggest getting A rev C GC( built in reg..). Being it's your first portable GC. And if your looking for Luigi's mansion and I think wind waker and few other games, I would suggest the previously said Wii DD. But if your looking for size and less compatibility I would use a wiikey fusion. As for batteries I don't know because I'm using the flaxed up intec ones. (cheapest 
) and also, if your looking for a laptop GC I would also suggest getting a couple of 3DS sliders (so the screen can close properly) if you can't do this kinda stuff then I would suggest starting with a n64 portable.

I remember you saying that they suck a while ago when I asked about them. They have oddly a three way switch, but inside original plastic casing on two ways are usable.
I got a rev C Gc at good will for like 3.99 and my enclosure is from a old gateway solo laptop. Its actually all assembled as of yesterday. But i need a screen and The person who wanted this wants video outs on it. I cant find an LCD that fits for something reasonable. Any ideas on where to get one

But myself personally, really like the intec batteries and they actually charge off the original GC power source and require little to no wiring and last for more than an hour.

Those are amazing, I have one in my xbox laptop (Thanks to DarkUncle33, who literally makes the best 360 laptops), and allows the screen to be real thin. I can now use the laptops screen thanks to ebay. I ordered an lcd controller board. Thank god for chinese people who make too many moniter parts.
Question about the original fan, anyone know how many rpm it spins at. I want a thiner one that has teh same air flow. Yeah Did customize my order. I actually found the lcd controller on that thread. Yeah i did its going to be sweet I'll post some pics when i get a wii or just a wii's disc drive.

Got the shipment within 2 week BUT the LCD cable was the wrong one. They sent out another replacement for free. BTW, they have a great customer service. The cable arrived within 2 weeks BUT once you turn the LCD controller on NOTHING happens. They sent me pictures on how to hook up new cable (there are no real instructions unless they tell you) but still nothing. They said the LCD controller was programmed for the right screen.
Right now I send my screen to the place I bought it from to check it out if it is broken or not.
So overall, the customer service is great and they really want to help. BUT some of those LCDs they did not test themselves. They kind of get the datasheet and try to do their best (based on their experience) to match the specs of the screen.
They told me there other customers who got this working with the screen that I have. So I hope it is the screen and not the LCD controller. It is holding my Xbox 360 mod on hold
If the screen is OK that means their setup with LCD controller is bad

Btw....They will refund the money but you still have to pay shipping.

I noticed their LCD controllers work the best with older screens so you might be in luck. BEFORE you buy check this list inf the screen Model Number is matching the list. If it is you are in luck. That means their LCD board should work with your screen. I would ask them to confirm BEFORE you buy that your screen is compatible (just for the peace of mind). They will have to put the right program on the LCD Controller four your LCD screen.
