GC MOBO SAFE CUTS

What are the safe cuts for the GC mobo? I've seen lots of diagrams across the Internet but not sure if they're correct. Can you show me some that you have used before perhaps? :D

This guide is very accurate and the author is certainly credible.

This is a hybrid cut of mine:

It requires relocating the memory card lines, DVD data lines, controller data lines, and audio/video lines.

You can cut as far as that guide says, up until the tiny "omgwtf" size. But at that point most things will require precise wiring to what parts of motherboard remain.

I like the cut. But you could trim much more around the controller components an still nit hve to relocate the transistors. Just make sure you leave the 2 * 4 resistors so they still work.

Thanks! That's a great Guide! I will keep this for Future Reference... :D Also, What cut do you think I need to make in order to Get it to fit inside that Wii U Controller? Can i just use the Minimalist Cut?

Depends on how you plan on patching the opening in the back of it. I believe youd have to really cut the heat sink down pretty far in order to get a fan in there. If you extend the back to accommodate for it then it depends on how much of the inside you cut out. A medium cut would fit fine I think. Im using the same shell but I extended it with a polycase.com case the ag-85. Look at my worklog to see what I mean. I had to cut most of the back out to make up for the height of the mobo, heatsink and fan. A modified minimal/medium cut will fit I think, though it may be tight how I want to position it.

Blargs pic of his cut would definitely work though.

Yeah, Im planing on Cutting the Inside pretty Far and Im planning on Using a Polycase to extend the Back of it Too. Im Working On a 3D Model of my case and the Mobo (Helps Me get Organized lol :awesome: ) And Ill be Posting t on here Soon... Hopefully It can be Helpful to many and Not Just me (It will Include all the Wiring, Controller Setup, Screen, etc...) I though I might do a Medium Cut but Im not really good with reallocating things (Dont know that much about it) so I thought minimalist was worth a shot.
