GC L/R sliders

What do the l/R sliders do on the gc controller?And are they absolutley needed?....they make it alot harder to portablize



Is there any other way to wire them?

They're 10Kohm potentiometers, and yes for most games they are necessary for gameplay, it's how the gamecube tells that you're pressing the trigger without pushing it all the way down.


There have been several ways to wire them, hailraizer used dreamcast triggers so they'd be vertical, right now there's no official guide that I know of on modretro.
