Gba:sp in a Gbc PROJECT:INCEPTION

I'm new to modding and the forums. Does anyone know how to relocate the card slot, the link cable port, and charger port on a Gba:sp? I'm hoping to make a INCEPTIONboy a gameboy within a gameboy

The main idea around relocating is just extending the contacts using wire so that you can reposition items as you see fit. All you do for pretty much any relocation job is desolder component, solder one end of a wire to the appropriate contact on a board, and keep soldering until all connections are made. I'm by no means an expert in gameboys, but I do believe none of the things you asked about would be very hard to relocate. Also keep in mind that some connections are sensitive so don't use a lot more wire then required. Good luck! I always hated that there was never a gameboy that that a backlight AND an upright cart slot and design.

Just desolder it off the board and add wires to where the old port was.
AKA its like unscrewing a lightbulb, and soldering wires to the lightbulb's + and - terminals, the soldering then into the lamp's + and - terminals. You now have a relocated lightbulb.

I am making the same thing... but I'm not really skilled yet, I found that the motherboard of the GBASP is too big to fit the GBC case.
Is there anyway to trim it a bit or something? We could give pointers to each other with our projects if you don't mind.
