Gameboy Fusion.

IT'S MIND BOTTLING! xD

I never understand how people like ashen have such clean builds, I was just cleaning up the phoenix cube today and still a sloppy mess.

:dahroll:

Gett'n more flax done. Actually, if my batteries would get here this would be finished. I got all of the MB shiz finished. All thats left is to toss the batts in and wire up the custom reg to the board. The MB turned out especially sexual, aside from some temporary wires running around still, this is probably the cleanest wiring job I've ever done on a board.

Looks great.

Too bad about the battery getting incinerated though, have you seen the news? The government has been following this portable's progress and said that they had to intervene, apparently there was a Mayan prediction that if "Ashen finished Gameboy Fusion" there would be a great flood that would purge the world. I turned in right after they explained what the "mystery liquid" the flood would be composed of, unfortunatly. I did hear them say that meteorologists predicted that there would be "buckets and buckets full, it will definitely rain it."

Casualties were estimated to be at least all of the USA, especially California(the added cancer from the solder is to blame,) as well most of New Zealand and a good portion of the UK. They said the UK actually started taking special measures against this potential cataclysmic event about 3 years ago, apparently they unified their efforts to make a prototype "hot box" for people to install in their homes and hide in during the flood. The device acts like a small sauna that will heat and evaporate this "mystery liquid" whilst protecting the user, although he or she may get very, very sweaty.

Ashen, please, I beg of you, no one must see the completion of this unit. I can ship you a PSP screen to use in place of the battery but promise me you won't post it on the internet! The world is not ready, I want to live...even if most of *Prog's home state here* is wiped out regardless.

I need to adopt this method of attaching both sides of the case together rather than using whole screw posts, it saves so much space.

If you just need SD slots I know of some good ones you can order from mouser, they're clicky just like the wiikeys, I think I got 10 for like $12.

I'd love a link. As much as I love killing Wiikeys just for the SD slot, it'd be way more convenient to not have to.

I did some extended playtesting tonight with my new custom regs hooked up to test them and the new cooling setup with the MB permanently mounted in the case and OMG it stays crazy cool. This is probably THE best cooling setup I've found so far. I kind of did the same thing for the Fusion Micro's, but it definitely wasn't as efficient as this. I actually trimmed the stock GC heatsink MORE this time. Its only 6mm thick if I remember right. However, I spent a lot of time filing down what was left of the the fins to be thinner, so that the air passing over them would cool them more effectively. It seems it was well worth it.

Still waiting on batteries.

I swear when this ones done I'll make up a proper video for my PS2 thing.

Which fan are you using? It appears that the fan is outside of the case. Is it sucking or blowing air?

EDIT:

The fan is the "Tchay fan": http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid= ... n&_sacat=0

Its sucking air over the heatsink and blowing it upward.

The nuts are supergled then epoxied to the lexan.

This is pretty much done. Gotta put some filters on the audio lines, i'm getting some noise from the regs.
