Full diagram for n64 with ps1 screen WIP

I'm working on a full n64 diagram (so I can fully understand how to wire one up, that's how I learn) and I need someone to point out any errors or give me any tips to make it better. Also I don't know how to wire the battery up. I'm trying to make it 7.4 volts, so I think the way I have it wired should work, but if I should make it higher, I'd like to know so I can account for it in my diagram. This is what I have so far:

7.4v works perfectly.

If you really want to make your own for the understanding of it, fix your image and we can help :)

Wow, that N64 board drawing is BEEEEEEEEEEAUTIFUL. Good job. :D

Re: Help: Full diagram for n64 with ps1 screen

I guess I should give credit where credit is due. The n64 motherboard was from jjhammerstein of Benheck's (EDIT: Beta), Harshboy for the screen (but I made the colors match the n64 motherboard) and the TI pth08000 goes to skyone (but I made that match too).

So is there anything wrong? Do I need those purple wires (Are they just ground)?

Re: Help: Full diagram for n64 with ps1 screen

I guess I should draw a PSOne screen. Bleh.

For the record OP, I'm jjhammerstein on BH. I'm just being a jackass.

oops. By the way you just made me laugh really hard. Your N64 motherboard is nothing short of amazing, and I'd like to see what you could do for a ps1 screen. but could either of you help? I saw two different diagrams, which shockslayer or Beta has so nicely stickified (I'm not sure who is who anymore) and one had the purple wires and the other didn't. I'm not sure, as I said above what the point of it is. Help?

On the screen? They are the pins that have to be bridged together if you want sound.

Re: Help: Full diagram for n64 with ps1 screen

Thanks, that helps, but I just noticed something, I'm pretty sure those are for the headphone jack, which I would like to include, so how do you wire that.
This is what I found, but it doesn't tell me what to wire it to. whats confusing me is where it says switch (pin 6 on right)

Does anyone have a recommendation to a charger I could add that is cheap (That I could add to the diagram)?
Also can you recommend any other components I could add to the diagram?
And finally, my craziest idea is that I would like to include an a/v in/output. I have no idea where to start on that though.

Re: Help: Full diagram for n64 with ps1 screen

This picture which by the way is WAY helpful, i was wondering how to batteries would work because i intend on buying 2 li-ion 7.20V batteries, or should i go for the 2 3.7V like this picture includes? AND how would the charging work with this? i am a noob trying to collect my data LOL

Re: Help: Full diagram for n64 with ps1 screen

I'll try updating my diagram. Thanks for bringing this post back up, I was going to put the charger in. And to answer your battery question (to the best of my knowledge) I know 2 3.7v batteries work, but I just never took it into consideration of using 7.2v batteries. I think it should work, try posting your question under voltage. And Beta did you make a ps1 screen diagram? (I would PM you but it didn't seem urgent)

There is no such thing as a 3.7v battery. What you are talking about are 3.7v CELLS, and when you have more than one, it's called a BATTERY. a 7.4v BATTERY is two 3.7v CELLS in SERIES.

I haven't drawn the PSOne screen yet.

Thats what i meant. I didn't realize that two cells make one battery, I thoght it was just a matter of wiring two batteries in series to get higher voltage, and not two cells in a series to make one higher voltage battery. Thanks for the heads up.

A battery is any number of cells that isn't 1. You could have a 3423852 cell battery, if you wanted.

I take it you are using the headphone jack from the PS1 screen. If you aren't, you should because it is easier. Just go ahead and wire pins 5-7. pin 6 turns off the speakers when you plug in headphones. as for AV in/out you will need to wire up video to pin 1 on the small headphone circuit board, and R audio to pin 2, and L audio to pin 3. I have a diagram, but too tired (and lazy) to mspaint it. maybe tomorrow

I think I can make sense of this. So I saw a video online that showed someone plugging an AV input chord into the headphone jack and into a dvd player. So is the headphone jack really an audio video jack? input AND output?
