This is the first time this has ever been done successfully. Nobody else has ever been able to fit all the parts, mainly the inverter.
Stripped the LCD, added a teal EL panel (PERFECTLY EVEN BACKLIT!). Installed a new amplifier that isolates the "whine" of the Gameboy sound, and is also louder. The speaker is upgraded, it is the round kind Hailrazer used in his later portables, IIRC, it sounds much louder and cleaner than the stock speaker. Then I cut up a small inverter that puts out 120v AC at 4,000hz or so, and freewired one side, and left the other untouched. This made it small enough to fit in a GBP. Battery is a high density 900mah li-po cell with protection and charging circuitry.
The front of the case is from a GBP that I scammed from a scammer. Anyone remember that? SS, looking at you, bro!
The back is from my first GBP, and the mobo is from a limited edition jungle green GBP Bibin sent me that a dog had chewed the case off. Still works! No battery life testing yet.
