Ds Lite Batteries for Gamecube Portable...

Hello im new to modding (sorta) and I am building a gamecube portable. The hard part about this (for me) is finding batteries. My friend suggested that I use my old ds lite batteries (belive it or not I have around 10 from all the ds lites my brother and cousins broke) ... I found out that they will only last around 45 minutes (three in series that is)... Now here's my question: IS IT POSSIBLE TO POWER A GAMECUBE PORTABLE WITH DS LITE BATTERIES THAT ARE IN PARALLEL? I dont exactly have a diagram of it right now but i was just wondering.
When I said I have 10 batteries... I checked again and I am a horrible counter... There are 6

Short answer: Probably not.

Long answer: It'd doubtful because of a couple things, First, you would need some wired in series as well to raise the voltage to 7.4 instead of 3.7. But don't just go ahead and do that, because the ds lite batteries probably have a different number of charge/discharge cycles meaning the life of each cell would be different, which is not recommended. However, even you got brand new cells and wired them together, you would still have a problem with the power draw, the ds lite takes low amounts of power (100 or 200Ma tops) but the gamecube takes far for power (about 1.5A for a complete portable setup) so the DS lite batteries are not built to output that much power.
