Danse Manatee Cube

Why would you say that out aloud? You just doomed yourself to failure
Good point. This is so close to being closed up. I have audio working now and all of the controls wired up except the shoulder buttons which I always save to do last. I didnt break a gamecube.. yet, but I think I may have broken a wiikey somehow. It stopped working but i soldered to the ffc cable so i quickly swapped a new one in. My audio amp is bigger than the one i usually use so its thicker so I may have to make a new back that is thicker. Not a problem though because then that means I'll have room for a decent battery life.

I cant get these damned shoulder buttons to work. I'm using the transistor method. I un-soldered all the wires and its almost like one of the shoulder buttons is being slightly pressed. I'm testing it with supersmashbros and my shield is sorta on. It wasnt much better when the wires were all soldered up too. Any suggestions? My soldering is fine i think and it isnt even working with no wires connected.

EDIT: tested it with resident evil 4 with no l and r wired up. When I move the analog stick right, it turns the l button on. Probably because the analog and l pins are right next to each other. My multimeter says nothing is bridged though. I'm almost tempted to cut up a new controller at this point.

I replaced the controller in there and now the l and r buttons are working! I've got 2 hours before my sister comes home from work. This will be close. I just gotta wire up the dpad and then squash it together

It's done! Works great but there is no batteries like my original plan. It uses the original gamecube power adapter and even has an original gc regulator in there.

She likes it. Yeah, I need to put all my recent portables in my sig too. I'll make a video tomorrow possibly.

Well I thought she liked it, but My sister is a Sega :evil2: . She doesnt like it because she realized it doesnt have batteries. Well boo hoo. I didnt want to spend $100 on batteries for a portable that I'm making out of the kindness in my heart. I'm glad I didnt cause she is acting like a selfish baby who wont except my gift which plays amazingly by the way. People these days... :evil2:

She must not know how much that is worth or how much work you put into it.

How old is your sister BTW to not appreciate what you did for her... :)

Well it's too bad your sister didn't appreciate it... Maybe if she buys the batteries, you could install them for her? Assuming there is still room in the case.

BTW Could we get some pics of it?
