Build a PC: $40,000USD limit.

Wow, way to derail the thread, guys.

Anyway, someone needs to combine my system's awesome motherboard and quad SLI with Bic's processors and 96GB of RAM. And add a 2KW power supply.

Ever figure out how to make your own UMDs?

Dude, he convinced a kid to pay over 3k for him to mod his PSP with a built-in 7mp camera. He can do *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ing anything.

Correction: You almost had it right.

1.) Buy DeLorean
2.) Yank wimpy engine
3.) Install EcoBoost or new Ford 5.0 drivetrain
4.) Put a good gaming PC inside it

Seriously guys the DeLorean's stock engine is anemic at best (170 HP overseas, 130 HP in the US thanks to emissions regulation), and the 2,700lb weight of that awesome stainless steel body isn't helping. (0-60 time? Nearly 10 seconds.)

I want a carbon fiber DeLorean now. :(

Ford sucks.

Throw in a Gigabyte i-RAM drive to use for disposable stuff like scratch files, browser cache, and the mandatory paging file:

It's a PCIe card that lets you use DDR2 RAM as a hard drive. Instantaneous seek times, no worrying about wear like you have to with SSDs, and the transfer speed is limited by the SATA bus. :awesome: Sure it needs its own standby power connection and a little battery to keep it alive when you unplug the PC, but that's why it should be set up as a dedicated scratch disk!

Not really one computer, but it could be used for massively parallel tasks. Originally I had a KVM switch, but this way you can have a LAN party or something. I think I will revise this with a superior main PC and another "server" PC.
