Well, I'm not after attention anyway. ;P I post all the flax I do regardless if it will get done anytime soon or if anyone cares about it. This should be pretty epic when its done though, as far as PS2 portables go anyway.
Compact flash is out for this motherboard revision Prog, sorry. I'd rather keep the DD than have to deal with an obnoxiously oversized motherboard. Pretty much all revisions of the slim that even work with the HDD mod do it poorly anyway.
I've made the case as small as humanly possible while still being able to accommodate a full sized DVD. Its only very slightly larger than the Revolution was. Lets just hope I can get the batteries I want to fit in this thing. Its likely to end up being a little fatty. 30-35mm is what I'm figuring.

Nice ps2 portable worklog going on.
Can't wait to see it finished with batteries and all.
I'm almost-ish done with mine, just need to get the controller for my portable and make my battery assembly thing.
Hail razor told me to use an li ion 11.1v and step down that to 8.5v that the ps2 needs to run properly.
The correct voltiage that the ps2 fat/slim needs are 8.5v?
Anyways, I like how your using the slim rev over the fat one, unlike me I'm using the fat rev, no disk drive, boot via softmoded freemc boot memoery card exploit. And load my games from USB flash stick 64gb. I have my worklog on my ps2p.
Also using a dd can make the portable heavier or not depending how the dd is trimmed etc.
USB works much better for weight distribution etc for me.
Also is your screen a DTV? Mine is.
And what cable are you using?
Standard av or VGA?
I can only use standard av as my DTV uses av input jack no component,
It has an HDMI input for ps3 etc, but since the ps2 can't use hdmi.
Also, is USB port 2 used in any way?
I'm thinking of using it for adding a second external fan for cooling the system,
Can it be done?

I'm using 0.9.1 actually.
All my games on my USB thumb drive work perfectly
I couldn't get five games to boot to the start screen because I had patched them with esr patcher which wouldn't allow them to play in opl.
Removing the patch from these games made them all boot up fine.
