Xbox360 WVI

lol, why do you have to be a pro vacuum former to make those cases? You just make the clay molding and then vacuum form it.

Clearly you have never vacuum formed. It is very difficult to get it right with any mold, and the more curves/ bends, the worse it is.

Before I start ordering all the materials for this project, I have a couple of questions.

1. I am thinking about getting a 7 inch screen, but are those to big to portablize with? It seems like this would make my case extremely long and wide.

Does anyone know any good 7inch screens in mind? I found this. It excepts video input, and seems fairly small.

2. Why would people pay 100 dollars for 2.4ghz wireless transmitters when the R/C Micro transmitters are the same price and work a lot better?

Because they do not work a lot better. Longer range, maybe, but much worse, quality wise. In addition, the receiver boxes are much larger. The receiver is what you have to make small inside the portable, so having a tiny transmitter is pointless.

I'd look for something 5.8 ghz. 2.4 ghz is a pretty common channel (wifi and more) (though I could be wrong.)

Screen seems ok.

The 360 controller itself runs on a 2.4ghz frequency so it would interfere with your transmitter.

2.4 is fine. Screen is okay, not great but okay. You only get composite over the AV transmitter anyway.

I found a bunch of other portable screens from ebay and are keeping the links to look into them a bit more tomorrow. These have a lot better video quality then the other one I chose.

Video of it hooked up to the Wii:

They both seem to have good audio and video quality

I feel like the one below might be the best out of the three?

Looking for a 7" television is the wrong thing. Look for "7 inch tft lcd" and you'll get a bunch of car screens.

well... that would have been helpful like two days ago. The screen has already been bought. Lets just hope it works alright.

Also, what was that electrical component that could do the job of many switches(other portable)? I don't really feel like going through 38 pages of text and would like to read up on it.
