Don't do a composite->VGA box. Build a YUV->RGB circuit. I heard you can do it with opamps. Also, what size is that LCD? It looks nice.

Duh! dunno wtf I was thinking... We'll see how the VGA thing goes first. From what I gather its more of a PAL problem than anything. If all or most of the games I care about run then I could give a flax less and will just stick with the VGA mod.

Its a 12" LCD. Used to be a resistive touchscreen, but the touch part was busted so I cannibalized it. The driver board is pretty tiny and it draws pretty low amperage @ 12v so it shouldn't be a problem powering it right from the box's power supply. Its a perfect fit for the Xbox's original case, which is what I'll be using (with extensive modification) to house everything. The best part is it was free. :D
