ok ive never soldered before, i had my friend solder the wires for my arcade that my mom found out about and wasnt to happy, but now he's gone and i need to learn so i can start my snesp. Whats the best way to practice? I know ben explains it in his book how to, but it still doesnt make sense, maybe someone can explain it in a different way, or give me some pointers? I hear life of brian always recommends flux. What exactly is it? and how do i use it? Thanks for the help

wow thats a great tutorial, what bout desoldering things like a pin connector? by the way i feel like a complete idiot because i didnt realize there was a huge post dedicated to this someplace else. Just not used to the modretro layout
