The Gamecube's audio amp runs off of 12v, you can bypass it if you make your own 5v one.

WTF? Since when can a PS2 Slim be powered off 5V?
it cant. and theres no way it can run off a psp power supply.

as for the gist of what you are asking, which, i think is, "why does the ps2 have more features than the gamecube?"
its simply because sony designed it to do that, and nintendo didnt make the gamecube with that stuff in mind.

Also, the gamecube has a more powerful CPU and GPU; you can purchase a broadband adapter to play several games online or by LAN. It can also be modded to read full size DVDs for games and movies. Don't hate on the cube man.

Shut up, both of you. The XBOX kicks the flax out of both when it's modded. You can run games off the hard drive, play DVDs from other regions, emulate N64 and a whole bunch of older consoles, and it had BUILT IN LAN FROM DAY ONE.

That said, I own all four and love them all. Except the GameCube. Probably because I never bothered buying good games for it, and now I won't because I don't like it. It actually makes me sad.
