Problem running some games - Sleeping N64?

I'm in the process of building a n64p (VERY original), and I'm now at the phase where everything is hooked up to the batteries. I am using 2 of these batteries: http://www.batteryspace.com/polymerli-ioncell37v5000mah896474-2c185wh10arateullisted.aspx
along with this protection board: http://www.batteryspace.com/pcbfor74vli-ionbatterypack8a-1alimit.aspx
and this charger http://www.batteryspace.com/smartcharger12afor74vli-ionpolymerrechargeablebatterypack--ullisted.aspx

I charged the batteries and hooked them up to the 64 and a stock psone screen, but none of the games i tested (Conker, Perfect Dark, Pokemon Stadium 2, etc.) would boot except for f zero x and Zelda: Majoras Mask. However, if I let Zelda run for about 1-2 minutes, then try any other game, they boot without any problems. But if I let the n64 sit for about 10 minutes Zelda and F Zero are the only games that work again. Could anyone tell me why this isn't working?

Nevermind, I solved the problem. The wires running to power the screen weren't thick enough, so I swapped them out with some thicker wire
