It's neat, but kind of painful to watch. And the maker sounds like one of those pretentious... artful people. To the best of my knowledge, hacking RAM values is common practice, but I don't think anyone's rigged it up to that kind of controller before.

I've toyed with RAM in Zelda II. Found an address that controls when you're a fairy, and stuff like that.
