Looking for Advice on my Planned Battery Setup

Alright, I haven't modded anything in years (with the exception of minecraft and a nerf gun :p), but I'm looking to get back into things with a portable N64. I'm trying to plan as much as possible to avoid frying any systems. The only pieces of the portable I could really use some advice about is the battery, charger, and wiring. For the battery, I thought this would be a great asset to the portable:

I plan on using a PSone screen, and I've already received the TI PTH08080WAS to get the 3.3 volts for the N64.
For the charger, I think this will work, but say something if I'm wrong:

One last thing: I've got some 20awg wire for the power connections, but its obviously to stiff and bulky for slot relocation. Has anyone had experience with something like this:

I know its made for those little dupont connectors, but I think that will make soldering to the pins easier, and they seem pretty maneuverable.

That battery looks a little big. You don't need a gauge; in the megasticky, there's a low battery indicator tutorial.

Well dude, unless you short out the batteries or are most definitely going to wire something dangerously simple (I mean simple for newbs, not just nerds) wrong, I'd recommend Lithium-Polymer batteries.

Check out this link.

18650 cells take up alot of space. your gonna have to make your portable big to fit enough in there so you have decent battery life. you can prolly buy individual cells off ebay for cheaper. or go to hobbyking.com they have super cheap cells (with good reviews, so your not buying junk).

as for wiring them up use this handy dany site i found

hope this info helps.
