I've made a list of all known Noac's and their compatibility.
Note: Most of these companies also have consoles very close to the ones listed that play more then one kind of game such as the yobo fc twin, which plays both Snes and Nes games.

Castlevania 1/2/3 and Power pak/power pak lite will not work on any of the clones listed.

First off, the good old mega joy/mega joy 2/power player.
Slight hum in the backround
Nes controller is not usable
Sound is very often off tempo and handle volume badly
5v 350 Ma

Second. The Retro entertainment system (RES)
Eliminates video scan lines
Nes controller compatible
5v 200 Ma
Near perfect sound

Third up. The retron 1/2/3
Some sound issuses in select games
Dark composite video
Bright S-video
Controller ports for original systems
63030

Fourth. The retro duo
Compatibility: Final fantasy, Rolling thunder ,The ultimate stuntman, Paperboy and Battle Toads do not work
Super mario RPG only works in some cases
Must use snes controllers for Nes gameplay
Very minor sound distortion
Sound distortion is esaily fixed, as well as nes controller compatibility
The nes side will not run without the snes side

Fifth. Yobo FC
Compatibility: Maniac Mansion, RaodBlasters, Werewolf, Xenophobe do not work
3D Worldrunner, Gyromite work in some cases
Early models have bad tempo
Compatable with Nes controllers
Sound is distorted in few games such as in SMB

Re: list of all known Noac's and their compatibility

Do some research and list the games that don't work. If you're making a reference list, at least make it thorough.

list of all known Noac's and their compatibility

Shoot. Meant to do that Had a lot on my mind today. Will do that soon.

Re: list of all known Noac's and their compatibility

You've pretty much just listed for all of them "a few games don't work"

Write which games don't work, what are the weaknesses in some, which ones can't use real NES controllers, do any have poor sound, etc.

Re: list of all known Noac's and their compatibility

You might also want to change the title to "clones" instead of noac's. As far as I know, not all of the systems you've listed are exactly a "oac" type system. Small detail, but important for those interested nonetheless.

Now I know to grab those Mega Joy things when I see them at my local Goodwill. I had no idea those were NES clones.

pretty dang sure castlevania and simon's quest work on all of those. It's the third one that doesn't work with most.
