LiPos and PCB for the UK

If, like me, you live in the UK and would like to get LiPo batteries similar to those found on batteryspace without having to mortgage your house for the postage, you will want to know where to get some decent batteries.

I recently bought an Anker portable phone charger (mine is 10Ah) which can output 5V nicely and comes with a pcb etc. Granted many portables require more than 5V for the screen but I'm using a step up reg to get the 9V for mine, so it's all fine.

Search for "Anker" on amazon or something and you'll find a fairly decent range of capacities and sizes.

Are you sure that that charger is "smart"?

Depends what you mean by smart. What it does is have a protection circuit to prevent overcharging and outputs 5v up to 3A. Charging it is done via a micro usb in the side of the protection circuit.
