I have run into a predicament.

I have found an amazing case for my GCP (that i WILL finish.) that sadly, is metal.

Most likely with my luck, somewhere, somehow it is going to short some wire.
Soooooo, if I were to line the inside of the case with ducktape (Please excuse my spelling of that word) would it melt if my system were to get luke-warm to moderatly hot? (Not like ouch hot, because I have original heat sink+fan.) I know this is probably a stupid question somehwere of me typing but, I would like some advice.

Coat the inside of the case in a few layers of spray paint. It will be easier, and just as effective

Lol. Just covered inside with ducktape. Anyways what are the answers to my questions?

EDIT: plus I dont really have good spray paint handy

Nah, it won't melt. The adhesive may get a bit mushy and you'd be able to slide the tape around a bit, but if it's all on the inside it should be all good. Just saying, since you have a metal case, even though you did insulate it, I would highly suggest covering your solder joints in something like hot glue to further insulate.
