How to tell if I shorted PTH08080 WAZ Regulator

Hey guys. I was wondering how to tell if you shorted a PTH08080 WAZ regulator? I have very basic soldering skills and it took me about 30 minutes to get everything soldered to the regulator since it is so small. I finally got everything soldered but am now worried because I do not want to connect it to my N64 if it is dead and end up frying my system. Here is a pic of the soldering job. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts and opinions.

PT regulators have a tendency to shoot about an inch of flame when you blow them up.

Just connect it to your battery, and use a multimeter to check the voltages.
