Got a Bootlegged GBA Cart -- Can it be Reflashed?

Hi all,

A friend of mine recently acquired a copy of LoZ: Minish Cap, and quickly discovered it to be a bad bootleg copy. Now I've opened it up and I'm looking at the chipset, and there was only 4 things on the board -- 1 M5M5V108DK RAM chip, 1 black gob, 1 watch battery, and 1 M6MGD137 chip. It's the last one which I am guessing held the ROM of the game, and from what I gather from reading various other forums, removing the battery (necessary to identify IC) also killed the game. I want to see if my friend can still get something out of this, but I'm having trouble locating a datasheet for the chip, so I can't figure out if I can reflash the ROM or if the chip is even capable of holding an entire game. Does anyone have any experience with hacking/reflashing normal or bootleg cartridges? Any input is appreciated.

K

EDIT: I think I may have found the datasheet, but I still know next to nothing about flashing ROMs.
