Hey all,
I'm in need for some advice, as I cannot find directly what I need on Google.
The situation is as follows:
Today, I've been given three GameGears for repearing. One is of the USA model, the two others of the Japanese model. I mean the internal board type here.
One of the Japanese models has the same power jack like all the European models I have.
The two other however seem to have a smaller jack for the adapter. It does not differ much, only a few mm, but enough to prevent my power adapter from fitting.
I do have a universal adapter, but when I use this one, the devices refuse to power on.
Replacing the powerboard with a European one currently is the only way for me to power them.
Would it be possible to replace the power connectors with a European one on these boards?
It's the first time I see this. I always thought those devices to be identical.
